R & N Cessford's haulage operations began in the 1950s following the denationalisation of the road haulage industry. The haulage operations have developed over the years, but the transportation of agricultural commodities has remained central to the business since its inception.

Today, R & N Cessford undertakes local and long-distance haulage work throughout the UK and N. Ireland. We have a wide variety of trailers that are suitable for most transportation operations. The haulage operations are closely connected to the other business enterprises, and are involved in the transportation of goods grown on the farm. In addition, R & N Cessford is contracted to deliver a significant proportion of the Yara fertiliser that has been processed by Angus Horticulture Services in Dundee, and also provides regular transportation services to Bakelite Synthetics.
